the nature conservancy

RALLY worked with The Nature Conservancy to develop a brand, website, digital strategy, and launch campaign for a California wildfire coalition. The coalition was developed in order to secure $3 billion for 10 years to fund wildfire resilience for California landscapes and communities. Our client wanted the brand to be distinctive from other environmental and climate coalition brands, focused on the funding approaches the coalition was uniquely positioned to propose.

With a collaborative naming process, we arrived at “The Wildfire Solutions Coalition,” and developed a symbol that connected the notion of solutions to the California landscape – mountains with a setting sun. We leaned into a cooler palette that would contrast with imagery of wildfires, still within a somewhat nature-inspired palette, but brighter and more modern.

As the creative director for this brand and campaign, I led the naming process for the coalition, development of the verbal identity and core messaging, partnered with our associate design director Anna Mihikian to develop the brand symbol and palette, oversaw the website development and design, and wrote website copy. I also created the social toolkit for the coalition to easily implement and use our social graphics and captions.

You can find the coalition website at WildfireSolutionsCoalition.org and find their Instagram @WildfireSolutionsCA.
